Bookish Survey: Take Two

My current state of Mt. TBR. Yikes!
Remember when MySpace was a thing? I was addicted to taking all those ridiculous surveys and sharing them with my friends. They were so fun! Tonight, I decided we would do "take two" of the ultimate bookish survey. Here's the link to the first bookish survey, if you missed it. Feel free to post this survey on your own site, and leave the link to your survey answers in the comments section below!

1. Which book are you reading right now?

The Palace by Chelsea Quinn Yarbro. It's book two of the Saint-German series. I've been holding on to nearly all the books in the series for 10 years and have NEVER READ THEM. The owners of my local indie bookstore are friends with the author, and absolutely love her work. Out of my love for the owners, I decided to finally venture into this series and WOW. Yarbro is highly underrated, and highly underpublicized. Amazing.

Sarah's A to Z Bookish Survey

It's been awhile since I wrote any posts that were fun and light, so after reading Jamie's very awesome A to Z Bookish Survey over at The Perpetual Page-Turner, I decided to do the same!

Like Jamie, I am also coming out of a blogging slump, but for completely different reasons. The last few years have been unusually busy. Not only have I been moving up and down the west coast, but until recently, I was balancing a number of clients and projects because I just wasn't completely sure about the direction I've wanted to take from a work standpoint.

But finally, FINALLY I've been able to put down roots for a little bit and get into a comfortable rhythm with clients I love working for and on projects that I genuinely love, which have also help me grown as a writer.

Poll: Holocaust Novels *Completed*

As the years pass, Holocaust novels are in abundance now more than ever.

What are your recommendations? Take the poll to the right of this post and comment below to include links to the reviews on your own blogs and websites! If you have additional recommendations, feel free to post those as well.

It's hard for me to pinpoint just one novel, but I'm going to choose Those Who Save Us by Jenna Blum. Jenna Blum is of German and Jewish descent and spent four years interviewing Holocaust victims.

Here are links to my reviews on each novel:

Review -- Those Who Save Us
Review -- Skeletons at the Feast
Review -- The Book Thief
Review -- The Boy in the Striped Pajamas

We received the most votes for The Book Thief by Markus Zusak. Add it to your wish list if you haven't already!
