Hell Yeah by Carolyn Brown

Released: 2010

Although Hell Yeah is the second book in Carolyn Brown's "Honky Tonk" series, this fun, sassy, fast-paced romance novel stands strongly on its own without needing to read its predecessor, I Love This Bar.

Cathy O'Dell is the most recent owner of the Honky Tonk country bar and absolutely loves her lifestyle. When handsome, sexy, rugged and smart oil-rigger Travis Henry comes to town for a temporary project, Cathy must re-evaluate her desire to stay in small-town Mingus to run the Honky Tonk or consider leaving to be with Travis. In the midst of all the love-drama, Cathy experiences a traumatic situation, and hopes that Travis can come to her rescue.

Despite the small bit of intensity toward the end, Hell Yeah is incredibly fun and uplifting! Falling into the "contemporary" sub-genre, Hell Yeah is perfect for readers that love escaping into dreamy and blissful flirtations this romance is sure to bring. Carolyn Brown truly does an amazing job with creating a down-home atmosphere; from incorporating country-music references and anecdotes into the bar's setting along with humorous country euphemisms from her characters.

Readers do not have to be country gals to enjoy this novel because the romance aspect and story is incredibly enjoyable. For a city-gal like myself, I found myself craving a pair of cowboy boots and some draft beer after reading Hell Yeah! Simply put, all fans of contemporary romance will enjoy reading Hell Yeah.

Fans of this book should also pick up the rest of the series; I Love This Bar, My Give a Damn's Busted, and Honky Tonk Christmas, of which the latter two will be released later this year in October and November of 2010.
